The reasons I appreciate and employ these three modalities the most frequently…
Reiki: for aches and pains (soft-tissue or nerve), this channeled energy can offer immediate relief. It also provides comfort, calm and peace, overall, when someone is not feeling or doing well. It accelerates balance of the body, mind, spirit, emotions and one’s life. Reiki is gentle and easy.
Tong Ren: for embedded, long-term or on-going issues or illness, including weight-loss, emotions, auto-immune diseases, blood sugar issues and more. I think of this as a “hard-working” modality. My grandmother had a Parkinson’s Disease (PD) diagnosis; and I was drawn to Tong Ren, with the hope that it could help with issues such as these.
Magnified Healing: I thought that some clients would be more comfortable with a softer, ‘feminine-energy’ approach to spirituality, self-care and healing, as an alternative or as a supplement to current scientific, medical and religious mind-sets and traditions. Although Magnified Healing is not a religious practice, it is spiritual.
As a practice, it is amazingly gentle and organic. The class itself is informative and intellectual. Thus, incorporating both simple, calm "being” and intellectual knowledge, Magnified Healing is a good combination of both feminine and masculine energies.
Reiki further empowers Magnified Healing; Tong Ren empowers Reiki; and so on. I believe that traditional medicine is complimented by natural methods – and vice versa, as well.
Another reason I employ these modalities is due to my teachers. Jackie Eaton, RN (my Reiki & Magnified Healing teacher) is gracious, loving and empowering. Tom Tam (Tong Ren), is fascinating, a wonderful healer and incredibly funny!
I am grateful to be working with these modalities (old & new) and for being able to co-create new healing and understanding.
